Umberwick Showcase / Legal
Privacy Policy
1. Scope and responsibility
Umberwick Showcase provides entertainment production consulting for event organizers, businesses, and private clients. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled in connection with our website and our consulting communications. It applies to website visitors, prospective clients, clients, and people whose business contact information is provided during an engagement.
The website is hosted on Shopify. Hosting infrastructure, installed applications, browser extensions, and services you choose to use can process information under their own settings and privacy terms. This policy distinguishes the behavior of our custom event-brief form from information that may be processed by the hosting platform or through a separate communication with us.
2. The event-brief form
The custom form asks for your full name, email address, phone number, event type, service of interest, and an event description. It also asks you to acknowledge how the form works. Every field must be completed before the form displays its confirmation. The event description can include your target date, planning stage, working budget, and questions, but you should include only information relevant to the consultation.
The form performs validation in your browser and displays a confirmation on the same page. The custom form code does not email the entered details, submit them to our server, send them to an application, create a customer record, or store them in cookies or browser local storage. Completing the form does not create a booking. Your browser may retain field values through its own autofill or session-restoration features, which you control separately.
If you want us to consider your brief, contact us using the plain contact details shown on the website and share the relevant information directly. A separate email, call, or agreed communication is handled differently from the local form and may create correspondence or project records.
3. Information received through direct communication
When you email us, call us, or engage our services, we may receive your identity and contact details, organization name, role, event objectives, venue information, planning documents, budget assumptions, entertainment preferences, and scheduling requirements. We may also receive correspondence, approvals, feedback, proposals, invoices, and records needed to administer the engagement.
Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card details, government identification numbers, sensitive health information, or unrelated information about guests. If a production document contains personal information about other people, provide only what is necessary and make sure you have an appropriate basis to share it. We may ask you to remove information that is not needed for our advisory work.
4. Technical website information
When you visit the site, Shopify and infrastructure providers may process technical information such as an IP address, browser and device details, request timestamps, pages requested, and security or diagnostic signals. This information supports delivery of the website, protection against abuse, troubleshooting, and other platform functions.
Optional analytics, marketing, or preference technologies depend on the actual storefront configuration, installed applications, and your applicable consent choices. Our custom sections do not add an advertising pixel, analytics tracker, newsletter subscription, or session-recording service. If additional tools are enabled, their behavior must be reflected in the storefront privacy settings and relevant notices.
5. How information is used
Information you share directly may be used to respond to inquiries, evaluate whether a consulting service fits your needs, define the scope of work, prepare and review planning materials, coordinate feedback, manage scheduling, issue invoices, maintain business records, and resolve questions about an engagement. We may also use limited information to protect our systems, investigate misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not use completion of the local event-brief form as permission to enroll you in marketing communications. A request for consulting information is not a general marketing subscription. If a separate subscription is introduced, its purpose and choice mechanism should be described at the point of collection.
6. Service providers and other recipients
Shopify and its infrastructure providers process information needed to host and operate the storefront. If you contact us directly, email or telecommunications providers process that communication. Where needed for an engagement, information may also be handled through document storage, scheduling, invoicing, or other business tools used for the agreed work. The recipients and data involved depend on the channel and tools actually used.
We may share relevant planning information with a venue, performer, or production supplier when you authorize that coordination or when the written scope includes it. We aim to limit that sharing to information needed for the relevant task. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a lawful request, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a legitimate business reorganization subject to appropriate protections.
7. Advertising-related sharing
The custom form does not sell information or transmit an event brief for advertising. Advertising-related data processing by a configured storefront tool is separate from that local form behavior. Where applicable, storefront privacy controls allow choices about analytics, marketing, and data sale or sharing. Recognized privacy signals are handled according to the platform configuration and applicable requirements.
This policy does not represent that every application on a Shopify store automatically respects the same settings. Applications must be configured to respect relevant privacy choices before they are used. You may ask us about the tools involved in a particular communication or engagement.
8. Retention and security
Because the custom form does not transmit its entries, it does not create a retained form-submission database. Direct correspondence and project records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for the inquiry or engagement, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and applicable legal obligations. Different record categories can require different retention periods. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or disposed of appropriately.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information and business tools involved. No website, email channel, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You should avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary email or the website form and tell us promptly if you believe information was shared in error.
9. Your requests and choices
You may contact us to ask what information we hold from your direct communications, request correction of inaccurate details, request deletion where appropriate, or raise a privacy concern. Depending on your location and the applicable law, additional rights may include access, portability, restriction, objection, or an appeal of a request decision.
We may need information reasonably necessary to verify the request and protect another person’s privacy. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations, administer an existing engagement, or establish and defend rights. We will explain relevant limits rather than promise deletion of every record in all circumstances. To change optional cookie choices, use the available storefront privacy controls or your browser settings.
10. Children and international processing
Our website and consulting inquiry process are intended for adults and people authorized to organize or commission an event. The site is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has supplied information directly to us, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
Hosting and communication providers may operate in countries other than your own. Information shared through those services can be processed where their infrastructure is located. Applicable protections depend on the service, the information involved, and the laws that govern the processing.
11. Changes and privacy contact
We may revise this policy to reflect changes in the website, services, or information practices. The date at the top identifies the stated version. Material changes should be reflected in the notice before new practices are introduced.
